The Mark Schwarzer saga still generates some interesting news.

With the Australian keeper still yearning for a move across London to Arsenal, one leading tabloid gave us its reported insight into how things currently stand.

Apparently, Mark submitted a transfer request but the club are disputing having ever received one. Mark, according to the tabloid, claims he sent it via e-mail a move that we find puzzling. Surely if you are that intent on leaving you`d hand deliver a written note would you not!

The tabloid then goes on to suggest that Mark is ready to sit out the final year of his contract and leave for free next summer, a move which we find strange as we don`t believe that Arsene Wenger will hang around for a year – do you?

Finally, it`s being suggested that Mark Hughes will let Schwarzer go only if Manchester City allow him to take Shay Given to Craven Cottage.

Does anyone think this frazzled mess will be sorted by the time the transfer window slams shut?

  • hopefully…..i think Schwarzer’s” head has been turned” i think he is a great keeper and the promise to move to arsenal is too good to miss out. He is starting to sound desperate….wait a year and by then arsenal will have the keeper problem sorted.
