And so the name of Fulham is in the hat for round four!

The result yesterday was, in a way, all that mattered even if the game was far more even than we`d have liked.

After the game, Roy Hodgson spoke about the result, his squad selection and what he thinks about participation in this competition, remarking,

“It`s was a job well done. They played the game more properly but we were more dangerous.”

“Swindon were every bit as difficult as we thought it would be, but we were slightly more dangerous in front of goal.”

“We`ve got some good penalty takers at the club and you don`t expect them to miss. This one was missed and that kept the excitement going.”

“I can`t give enough credit to Swindon.”

“If you look at the results today, lots of them were single-goal victories. I suppose it could be levelled at us that we fielded a weakend team.”

“But next time we play a cup game we won`t have just come out of a busy Christmas period.”

“We certainly take the cup seriously. We are simply using the squad to the best of our ability.”

Some good points made there Roy, however, over in the opposition camp, the Swindon manager, Danny Wilson bemoaned the presence of one man who wasn`t part of Roy`s squad rotation, commenting,

“One bit of quality from Zamora made all the difference.”

“There was nothing in the game after their goal. If can go away from you after an early goal but we steadied everything.”

I wonder who we`ll draw in round four!
