Fulham Praise from Cardiff Boss Warnock

|

After the 1-0 win, against Reading, lifted Fulham above Cardiff City and into second-place in the Championship, in an automatic promotion place, Slavisa Jokanovic played down his sides chances of hanging on to that automatic promotion place.

Jokanovic is wise enough to acknowledge that the game Cardiff City have in hand makes them favourites to snatch second-place behind the Championship leaders Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The Cardiff City manager, Neil Warnock, also appears perfectly happy to become, as he puts it, the hunter rather than the hunted after his sides defeats to Wolverhampton Wanderers and Aston Villa in their last two matches.

Talking to the BBC, after the defeat against Aston Villa on Tuesday evening, Warnock had this to say about the promotion race,

‘Now we have to re-group and we still have a great chance.

‘I think it is nice to be the hunter, rather than the hunted.

‘Fulham are a good side, they have been talking a good game, but they are not all simple games and we have got an opportunity.

‘Fulham think they will win every game, but they might be surprised and we have to keep giving the same sort of effort.”

A hugely intriguing end to what could, for Fulham, turn out to be a memorable season.
