Fulham – Plain Unlucky?

I can`t help feeling that if we do get relegated we`ll have cause to look back and cite several incidents which may have influenced our path.

In all fairness, we`ll probably go down with the reputation as having been one of the unluckiest relegation victims since the conception of the Premier League.

Since day one of the season, we`ve been plagued with late goals, injury time winners and goals that have been awarded that shouldn`t have been.

Indeed, Lawrie Sanchez once calculate that if the game lasted eighty minutes we`d have been, at one point, on course for the Champions League.

No doubt such a silly suggestion may well have seemed to make sense but in the overall realms of things is probably one of the reasons Sanchez was fired.

Nevertheless, since Roy Hodgson took over, things haven` changed much in the way of luck. Only in the Aston Villa game did ‘Lady Luck` choose to smile on us.

Cast your minds back, since Roy Hodgson took over has any team walloped us or even looked like walloping us? I`d say the answer is no!

Could we really go down and be considered the unluckiest team in the history of the Premier League to do so?

Your thoughts would be appreciated!
