Great minds think alike it would seem!

Following on from the PFA awards and the announcement of their Premier League XI, Paul Konchesky has stepped forward t have his say about the lack of any Fulham players in the selection.

Konchesky quite rightly complains about the tendency for players to go for the big-names and dabbles on our mall club status affecting us on such occasions.

Here`s what Paul had to say to he media,

“There`s mot even been a mention of anyone getting near the PFA team; like Bobby or our goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer who has been as good as or better than Joe Hart at Birmingham”

“It goes unrecognized. For certain players, ie Bobby, he has to be up there with the top five goal scorers this season.”

“But even players tend to go for the big names when they vote. Maybe they don`t want to pick Bobby because he has bullied a few centre halves this season.”

“But it`s probably because we haven`t got an out and out big name here. People do talk about Fulham and say ‘haven`t they done well?` But that`s about it. I think we deserve more. We`re not ‘little old Fulham` anymore.”

Unfortunately Paul, until we land that first bit of silverware I feel we might always be labeled as little!

Your thoughts please!

  • Agree we need to actually win something, and now is as good a chance as any we’ve had since ’75 COYW!!!!!!! Bring on Thursday

  • Whilst silverware has not come our way as of yet, accolades and plaudits still make you feel really quite proud to be a Fulham fan!

  • Not bothered by the PFAs. We are who we are. They (the big clubs) are who they are. Apples and oranges in terms of achievement and talent. But, I wouldn’t change a thing!

  • I agree teddy, true fans know our worth, and hopefully we will fly the england flag all the way to the final!!
