Finally it looks as it the concerns relating to the contract position of Roy Hodgson are going to be swept away by one fell swoop from a fountain pen.
Gentleman Roy is set to sign a deal that will secure his Fulham future after negotiations to extend his stay have proved fruitful.
Discussing the situation, Roy has remarked,
“I spoke to the chairman and it wasn`t a difficult decision.”
“It seems everyone`s keen for me to say and I`ve always made it clear that I`m happy – I`m enjoying my job here.”
“So really it`s just a question now of putting the contract discussions we`ve had on to paper. The job here will keep me on a rolling contract.”
Also, Roy gave the broadest hint yet that our Norwegian centre half, Brede Hangeland, is also on the verge of putting his own biro to a new contract when he commented,
“It`s been sorted out. My information is that he will sign very, very shortly.”
“If I`m going to stay I`m also hoping that some of these players who have worked with me and given us the success we`ve had are going to stay as well.”
The news can only be described as the perfect start to the weekend.
