I`ve got to admit it`s caught me by surprise!

After being a bench warmer for all of last season I was amongst those who thought Pascal Zuberbuhler would be on his way this summer.

It appears I was wrong!

News has filtered through that Pascal has, due to hard endeavour in training, been awarded a new contract until the end of next summer.

Speaking about it he`s remarked,

“I am experiencing a fantastic period of my career. I belong to an historic club in London, within the greatest league in the world.”

“I can feel immense respect in my work from the Fulham directors. Roy Hodgson is a great person. He is the one who convinced me to stay another year.”

“Obviously I`d like to play more often. But at least I know what to expect. I have a lot of fun training. And I have been on the same wavelength with Mark Schwarzer since day one.”

Great to see someone so happy in their work isn`t it!

  • Play more often… how ’bout at all! I think there must be a high shelf at the training facilities that no one but Zuberbuhler can reach.

  • Football Manager seems to put him on earning about 4K a week I think. I guess this means stockdale will go out on loan again next season.

  • i think stockdale cut use another year of cutting his teeth… and i can see pascal getting more (i.e. some) time this year with all the fixtures we have in the upcoming season…
