Our sympathy goes out to John Pantsil.

Our popular right back, who limped off at Stamford Bridge on Monday after a titanic tussle with Didier Drogba with a twisted knee, has been ruled out of the African Cup of Nations, in Angola.

Pantsil was given special permission, from his national football association, to play in the fixture against Chelsea and as far as his international aspiration go, has paid a heavy price.

After undergoing a scan the knee injury is considered serious enough to give Fulham cause for concern that Pantsil`s season could well be over. In fact we believe a second scan has been carried out to establish the exact nature of the injury.

Talking about missing the tournament in Angola, Pantsil has remarked,

“I am so sorry that I cannot make Angola 2010.”

“But I promise that this team (Ghana) will bring back the cup without me.

Everyone at Vital Fulham hopes that John recovers quickly and does grace Craven Cottage shortly.
