It was great to see John Pantsil playing at Wembley last night.

The Ghanaian, rumoured to be heading for the Craven Cottage exit this summer, played a stirring role in ensuring that Ghana pulled off something of a surprise by earning a 1-1 draw at what many perceive to be the home of football.

In fact Pantsil could easily have seen his name up in lights. As Ghana, trailing to an Andy Carroll goal, pressed for an equaliser, John saw a goal-bound effort deflected onto the roof of the net by Cahill.

Cheered on by some 20,000 Ghanaian supporters, Pantsil, deservedly milked the acclaim that came Ghana`s way at the sound of the final whistle.
