Shrewsbury made a strong start to the game, in the first minute of play Dave Hibbert reached a deep throw in and shot wide from twenty yards out.

Konchesky was then beat to the ball and after a very good cross, Tony Warner made a good save.

Diomansy Kamara then hit the goal frame for the second game in a row with a header against the bar.

Kamara was denied again when David Healy crossed after being put through by Moritz Volz , Shrewsbury keeper Ryan Esson tipping the ball over the bar.

Tony Warner then made a very good double save in the space of several minutes from Jimmy Ryan. Ryan shooting from near the half way line, Warner relieved to see the ball not reach the back of the net. Ryan then sent in vicious half-volley from eighteen yards out only to see Warner save.

Fifteen minutes into the second half, Kamara grabbed his first goal in a Fulham shirt. A corner from Simon Davies was met by the head of Kamara and a looped a header over Ryan Esson.

A minute later, the game should have been level, a header from Darren Kempson flashed wide of Warners far post.

Carlos Bocanegra sent a header over the bar whilst Fola Onibuja had a great oppurtunitybut mis-read Chris Humphreys through ball.

Smertin and John both sent their chances over the bar whilst Shrewsbury tried to apply pressure but to no avail.

Vital Verdict: A decent display from a Shrewsbury side that were and are well organized but lost to a strong Fulham side deserving of their victory.

Vital Man of the Match: Diomansy Kamara, a threat throughout the match and a very exciting player.
