Watching the television coverage, from the Ukraine, you couldn`t help but notice how crestfallen the Donetsk coach, Mircea Lucescu, appeared.
Obviously his dream of leading his side to the Europa League final had collapsed around his ears courtesy of a fantastic defensive display from the Fulham side.
But, after calling us long ball merchants in the build up to the game he then went n a right old childish rant after claiming a Norwegian influence had wrecked his night, remarking,
“I don`t like the ref. He`s Norwegian and that`s not right. Fulham have Norwegians and at the end they were hugging.”
Knock me down with a feather! I suppose he`ll be claiming they were all sharing a bottle of Norwegian beer afterwards in the referee`s dressing room!
Seriously, this guy needs to get a life!
