It was noticeable, earlier this week, that Roy Hodgson had a little whinge about our injury list and suspensions eating deeply into our squad.
As you are all probably aware, Gentleman Roy intimated that he might even be called upon to lace his own boots up again.
Our current injury situation is something that Brede Hangeland has also commented on but our Norwegian defender has put a different slant on the matter commenting to the media,
“There have been more injuries so far than in the whole of last season combined, so that is a worry.”
“But when you play a lot of games it is testament to the fact that you are doing well and deserve to play in Europe. We should never feel sorry for ourselves.”
Exactly true, self pity is a weakness that the opposition will pick up on. Stand tall, stand proud and justice will prevail!
Fulham – No Self Pity Please!
