Not too long ago, we reported that Fulham were keen to sign Hertha Berlin`s Croatia star, Josip Simunic.

The thirty year old has implied that he`d like a move to the Premier League and the indications were that Roy Hodgson would like to sign him.

In the press this weekend, Simunic has been quoted as saying,

“I hope to go to England. I don`t know where, we will see in a few weeks.”

Now that Croatia have been surprisingly knocked out of the competition, should we urge Roy to have a chat with this lad and explain to him that he could do worse than settle for a future for a lovely little club that plays next to the River Thames in a splendid area of London?

  • He would be a very good addition! At 6 foot 5 has the physical pressence! Stefanovic is still about

  • After Stefanovic’s comment to the media at end of the season I can’t see us playing him again. Perhaps RH when he’s walking about in his UEFA suit can have a word in the ear of this bloke and use the old Hodgson charm?

  • Apparently he didn’t say that, he released a statement on the official site to explain that. He’s not gonna get played because he’s too slow and old! He’s VERY good with the youngsters though!
