Fulham – Niemi Comeback Draws Closer!

Could it be adios to coaching and a return to full time keeping?

Last week we ran an article that implied that an old favourite of ours was contemplating a comeback!

After retiring, our ex-Finnish keeper, Antti Niemi was contemplating making a comeback with troubled Portsmouth.

It now appears that Niemi is ready to defy his age, thirty-seven, and make that comeback after impressing the Portsmouth manager, Paul Hart.

Rumours have been emerging that troubled Portsmouth may be on the verge of releasing their England keeper, David James, enabling Niemi to step into the coveted green jersey down at Fratton Park.

Now here at Vital Fulham we`re pondering whether all this will take place in time for our opening match of the season against, yes you`ve guessed it – Portsmouth!
