Rumours suggest that Erik Nevland is to prolong his Fulham career by signing a new contract.

Comments appearing in the Norwegian media suggest a contract will be signed this month with Roy Hodgson keen to keep the thirty-two year old striker on the club books commenting,

‘I definitely will offer Nevland a new contract. We will discuss the length of the contract with the player and his agent during January.’

With Nevland quoted as having remarked,

‘It is fantastic to be in the Premier League.’

‘And not something that you would give up on easily.”

‘I am very positive to be staying here but I don’t want to say too much until I get an offer and see what that will mean.’

All that remains then is to put that signature on the dotted line and it`s job done!

Or are things not quite as simple as that?
