There`s no doubting that 2008/2009 was a marvellous season.

Our achievements far exceeded our expectation levels and we`re all eagerly awaiting our appearance in the Europa League.

But, football has a nasty habit of kicking you in the unmentionables and is littered with those who have fallen from grace.

Our club captain, Danny Murphy, has re-iterated the desire to eradicate complacency from the set-up warning,

‘People usually talk about trying not to wallow in self pity, but in our case we should be wary of wallowing in the success of last season, because that can be dangerous.”

‘All of a sudden you start thinking ‘we’re a good team now’. But what we had last year – a terrific team ethic, and a desire to do well and perform every week – needs to continue otherwise we’ll come a cropper.’

Hopefully, Roy Hodgson will be on the case and we`ll hit the ground with both feet running!
