This morning the tabloids have spoken admirably about our club captain.
They`ve been fulsome in their praise and have, as we all know, stated that Danny Murphy is having a fine season.
They`ve also spoken out about how Danny always seems to have a great game against United and that, in the past, he`s scored some great winning goals against them.
Hopefully Danny can weave his magic today and we can progress into the last four for the first time since we met near-neighbours Chelsea, at Vila Park.
Speaking to the media, Danny has spoken about how he doesn`t want this season to fade away how he wants to fulfil one last ambition, when he comments,
“It`s been a great season so far in many ways and we don`t want it to peter out.”
“I was fortunate enough to play at the old Wembley, at the Millennium Stadium and in some of the world`s best stadiums.”
“But now that Wembley`s been re-done it would be as special deep down maybe I thought the chance had passed me by.”
“It`s a great carrot but we know it`s going to be tough because we`re playing the best team.”
“The thing is with United these days, you know even if they rest a few they can bring in other internationals.”
“We`ll have to be on top of our game but we`ll be up for it.”
My mouth is watering with anticipation already!
