It`s amazing how the press are seemingly able to manipulate the transfer gossip!
Yesterday, hot on the heels of Mark Hughes offering the suggestion that he had no real interest in an approach for the Millwall striker, Steve Morrison, implying that he`d prefer to sign the finished article as opposed to someone untried at Premier League level, we`re treated to some comments from the Millwall manager, Kenny Jacket which read,
“We`ve not had any offers for Steve, but I wouldn`t want to sell him.”
“My chairman and the board think the same. It would take a lot to take him and it`s not something we`re contemplating.”
Well then, our friends in the media, can we put this story to bed and let it die the death it deserves!
