If I were a betting man I`d put my money on us not having a cat-in-hells chance of signing the promising Leeds United youngster, Fabian Delph.
After the tabloids declared our supposed interest on Friday it didn`t take long for Sir Red Nose to stick his awe in and proclaim United saw him as a long term replacement for Paul Scholes and looked to swat away our paltry offer with a larger one.
Now it would appear, according to the Observer, that Mark Hughes, manager of seriously rich Manchester City, is convinced he can bring the Leeds youngster to his club.
It looks like a bidding war might be about to erupt, a war we`d be wise to keep well out of.
