I`m a realist! I wake up in the morning knowing that today will probably not be too dissimilar to yesterday.
I`ll get the same grief at work; my bank balance will be no better, the wife will be giving me grief and the children will be ransacking their bedrooms looking for something they`ve misplaced.
But I persevere, I battle on and I hope that, just once in a while, something will occur that makes everything worthwhile, something will occur that will put a bounce in my step and make all this suffering worthwhile.
Two seasons ago, the dark clouds were lifted by Danny Murphy scoring that goal, at Fratton Park that kept us in the Premier League.
Since then, many a dark cloud has been lifted by Fulham, our rise from relegation candidates to possible European finalists has enlightened my life.
Tonight, I reckon it`s too close to call. If we win I`ll be on cloud nine for days, if we don`t I`ll console myself with the fact my life isn`t such a bad lot.
I`m grateful to have a job, I`m grateful to have a bank balance that is just about n the black, I`m madly in love with my wife and I cherish my kids, plus there`ll always be my Fulham!
