Fulham – Matching Last Season?

The big question on everybody`s lips as we hurtle towards a new Premier League campaign is whether the forthcoming season will be as fruitful as the last one.

2008/2009 was quite a season, many had us down as relegation candidates, but instead we finished as high in top flight football as we`ve ever finished before. Much of our success can be attributed to the fact that Roy Hodgson was able to field a settled side, injuries only offered the merest distraction towards the end of the season.

So can we repeat that success or can we even do better?

2009/2010 will see the added complication of a Europa League campaign thrown into the mix, the number of games we compete in could be added to significantly, depending upon our progress. Our squad size, compared to this time last season, is slightly smaller although steps are in hand to increase it.

Perhaps these uncertain factors contributed towards the result as 42% have their doubts that we can match the success of last year.

27% think we can though, showing the faith that Roy Hodgson has instilled into the cub since he arrived and if you add the 14% who think matching last year is a possibility you`ve almost matched those 42% who have those doubts.

As for the remaining 17%, they`re of the distinct opinion that we`ll not match the success of last season, where is your faith folks?
