Sometimes, you get the odd rumour that refuses to go away!

One such rumour surrounds the Danish winger, Peter Lovenkrands.

Back in the summer, it was suggested that Roy Hodgson saw his as a potential recruit but nothing came of the rumour.

Now with the transfer window well and truly open, the name has once again appeared in a link to Fulham Football Club.

Lovenkrands` contract expires next summer and the implications are that Schalke would prefer to sell now to recoup a fee.

As many of you are aware, Lovenkrands played for Glasgow Rangers and has experience of the British game, quite whether, if a signing materialises, he can up the ante and be a top Premier League player, remains open to debate.

  • Løvenkrands’ only ability is his speed, so I really hope this isn’t gonna be a done deal:) Happy New Year lads!

  • Yeh I’ve never been a great fan of him, don’t think we need a player like him clogging up the bench

  • Well he’d obviously be for the wing and probably replace Davies, Dempsey or Murphy if he were to come on as a sub. I’d much prefer to have a younger player come into the squad
