Fulham Looking to Offer Jokanovic New Deal

|

For the second consecutive season, Fulham are in the Championship play-offs.

A feat that has been achieved through the managerial acumen of Slavisa Jokanovic.

Last season, after a sparkling run of late form, the Cottagers couldn’t quite make it to the play-off final, losing the semi-final to Reading.

This season, although a play-off place is assured, the Fulham support are hoping that their side can still snatch the one remaining automatic play-off place available.

It’s probably fair to say that Fulham have the best man in charge at Craven Cottage since the days when Roy Hodgson led the club on a wonderful European adventure.

Thankfully, that appears to be something the board acknowledge as well with the Evening Standard reporting that the club are keen to offer the Serbian a new deal, in recognition of what he has achieved and also to ward off any interest in him from other clubs.

But, any such deal, won’t be discussed until Jokanovic has completed his duties for the 2017 / 2018 season, hopefully leading the club into the Premier League.

Here’s hoping the boss is happy to hang around for a few years longer.
