Fulham Looking To Add Spanish Keeper To Their Squad

|

With the 2018 World Cup now over, and what a splendid festival of football it was, we’re all now concentrating on the forthcoming 2018 / 2019 Premier League season.

For Fulham supporters, the new season sees their club back in the top-flight of English football, with hopes of just more than surviving prevalent.

In order to achieve that Slavisa Jokanovic is more than aware that he needs to add a greater depth to the squad to cope with what will be a fiercely competitive season.

Today, lurking in the Spanish media source, the lacontradeportivo, is the inference that the club could be set to add another goalkeeper to the squad with the keeper in question being Roberto Jimenez.

Jimenez, 32-years-of-age, is currently on the books of the Spanish club Espanyol and our source is inferring that Fulham have made a £1.3 million bid for the keeper.

Whilst we fully expect Marcus Bettinelli to be the first choice between the posts in the coming season, adding an experienced back-up to the squad makes perfect sense to us. Squad depth, next season, will be a crucial factor in determining how the club does.

But, is that a view you concur with?
