Fulham Looking At Loaning Liverpool Defender

|

With the opening of the January transfer window just one month away, it’ll be interesting to see just how much business Claudio Ranieri is allowed to conduct.

Back in the summer, his predecessor, Slavisa Jokanovic, recruited heavily as the board backed his ambitions to mount more than just a survival campaign.

However, there are those amongst the Fulham support, myself included, who don’t feel the money was invested wisely.

Therefore, there is the fear that the board might not be willing to increase the transfer expenditure this season.

If that is the case, then Ranieri may be forced to utilise the loan market.

To that effect, it is being reported by the tabloid publication, the Sun, that Ranieri is looking to bring the Liverpool defender, Nathaniel Clyne, to the club.

The 27-year-old, one of a number of players Liverpool have sourced from Southampton, has barely featured this season, making just the one start.

Given the option of regular first-team football, down by the River Thames, Clyne could be interested in making the loan switch.

However, our aforementioned source, also suggests that Neil Warnock, over at Cardiff City, is contemplating a similar move.

Surely, the England defender, given the chance, would prefer a move to West London would he not?
