Whilst some sources imply we`re looking to replace Konchesky with a like for like, the BBC has given us further food for thought by inferring that Mark Hughes might be looking at a player plus cash deal for Konchesky.

The BBC intimates that Fulham are keen on including the young Finnish striker, Lauri Dalla Valle, as part of the deal.

Now we know very little about the player except that he`s not 19 until September 14th and that he began his career with JIPPO, in Finland, had a loan spell at Inter before returning to Finland and then joining Liverpool in November 2007.

Whilst at Liverpool he`s starred in their FA Youth Cup Final side in 2009, scoring eight goals.

It looks like Mark might be taking a gamble with his lad as he`s no first team experience at Premier League level but has played for Liverpool in pre-season friendly and also in the Europa League earlier this summer.

  • I can’t believe they would allow this to happen! A loan I could defiantly understand but selling him would be crazy!
if it does happened I would lose so much respect for Hodgson and question why Daglish would let it happen

  • he’s only just come up from the youth team to the reserves, and he seems like a smart lad – i think he knows reserve experiance is good. Apparently he’s the one holding up the deal as he doesn’t want do move to Fulham

  • HA… oh well… i would think that he holds (sir) roy in high regard, and (sir) roy made a name for himself in scandanavia…

  • konch is most definitely serviceable… he’ll score a goal once every three years, he’ll prone to a blunder once a season i’d say, but other than that, he’s solid…
