SkySports and Goal.com are reporting that Fulham are tracking Sochaux striker Mevlut Erdinc.

The 22-year-old, Turkish international has contributed nine goals and six assists for the Ligue 1 strugglers this term. Sochaux sit one place above the relegation zone (due only to superior goal differential) with four matches remaining.

Erdinc has a £7.1m release clause in his contract. Reportedly, the striker has also drawn the interest of Prem sides Aston Villa and Wigan, and French championship contenders Bordeaux.

Now, my math may be a little shaky, but I think this brings the total of young strikers to which Fulham have been linked over the past 6 months to approximately 5,000 (give or take 100). It`s a good thing we`ve been given permission to expand Craven Cottage to 30,000 seats, as we`ll need the extra capacity after signing all these fellows.

Sarcasm aside, this link looks interesting. Erdinc is an established player and could potentially move directly into the first team; not necessarily as a starter, but at least as a substitute.
