Something that almost slipped under the radar this weekend was a transfer rumour involving a player who was once tipped for greatness.

Whilst at Chelsea, Michael Mancienne played for England at every level apart from full international.

However, breaking into Chelsea`s first team proved a touch to hard and Mancienne, after a spell at Wolves, moved to Hamburg, in the Bundesliga.

His time there appears to be at an end though with the player, now 25, being offered to Premier League clubs.

Our spies tell us that Fulham, along with Swansea and Stoke, are keen on the player but would prefer a January loan deal.

It remains to see if we get our way or whether Hamburg get the transfer fee they feel they deserve.
