Several news sources seem to be in agreement that Fulham are closing in on the young Birmingham City goalkeeper, Jack Butland.
Birmingham, befuddled by financial problems, are looking to reduce costs whilst also raising funds and the sale of their young, prize asset seems inevitable.
Originally, it was believed that Butland would cost circa £6 million, but it appears that the csh crisis could see them accept a lower bid.
But, with Newcastle, Liverpool, Everton, Southampton also all expressing an interest, a bidding war could up the price to somewhere near that original figure.
