Fulham – Keeper on the Radar?

A mischievous rumour has appeared amongst the tittle-tattle in the tabloid this morning.

One of the leading tabloids carries an article that infers that Mark Hughes could be raiding the Mexican squad for another player, a goalkeeper.

The man in question is Guillermo Ochoa, a twenty-five year old who has international experience.

Nicknamed Memo, he currently plays for Club America in Mexico and is rated at something in the region of £8 million with a source close to the player, cited as having remarked,

“Fulham`s people were in Mexico a few months ago. They saw Memo perform well, and asked Salcido about him.”

“We hope Fulham will make an offer that suits everybody.”

With Mark Schwarzer having recently put pen to paper on a contract extension and David Stockdale showing, earlier this season, remarkable poise, do we really need another goalkeeper, or should we just dismiss it as a rumour?
