For the second time in a week we`re linked with the Espanyol goalkeeper, Carlos Kameni.

Apparently, well according to the gossip columns, we`re preparing to pay a sum of £3 million for the twenty-seven year old keeper who has, in his own words, expressed a desire to play in the Premier League, commenting,

“Nothing is done yet but things can move quickly in football. I`d love to play in the Premier League.”

“It is a fantastic league and very competitive for keepers.”

Like we said before, why would we be interested, surely Stockdale is our man if Schwarzer were to leave this summer!

  • Thought about this one a lot, I would like to see Stockdale given the chance if Schwarzer was to leave and I don?t see this guy to be a number 2 strange rumour

  • i think this would be a good buy as jol knows him and he is an experienced international. I think it would be great competition for stockdaleor mark and having 2 good keepers adds to a balanced squad. if one become injuried the number 2 can step in easily. Is mark or david about to leave?

  • it’s an odd one… i don’t think schwarzer’s about to leave, and stockdale better not get sold, as he’s our future… he’s been linked to us for years now, under different managers and all… very strange…

  • Kameni was strongly linked to Spurs whilst Jol was in charge of the club, so this might well be a deal he would fancy.

  • If he’s Jol’s favourite then it will make Stockdale’s season boring again.
