With the arrival of Bobby Zamora and Andrew Johnson, both in big money deals, we’re in danger of forgetting about a striker who we signed at this stage of the summer last year, Diomansy (Joe) Kamara.

Diomansy, who picked up an awful knee injury whilst on international duty, isn’t likely to feature again until December at the earliest. The club, aware of his plight, issued the following press release on the official site highlighting his current situation,

‘Fulham striker Diomansy Kamara is currently undergoing rehabilitation in France following surgery last month on his injured knee.

Diomansy is progressing well and is expected to return to the Club in the next few weeks to continue his rehabilitation. However, he is not expected to return to training before December 2008′

We send our best wishes to Diomansy and we hope to see him back in contention for a first team place in the New Year.
