The January transfer window is eagerly awaited by numerous footy fans around the land.

It brings excitement to the season that is probably only on a par with the summer transfer window, therefore it`s exciting to hear Roy Hodgson talking about possible investments with scouts being despatched all over Europe to size up targets.

Naturally, Roy was coy in his comments to journalists on the subject but he did let the following slip,

‘There will be a new opportunity to bring one or two fresh faces into the club, so the scouting department is functioning at the very highest level in an attempt to single out possible and potential players for that market.”

‘It’s not something we actually discuss day to day because our day-to-day business is always trying to make sure we’ve got a team that is ready for the match we’re down to play.’

Right, imaginations running wild – who will, or should Fulham, sign?

  • no clues on new signings eh? i guess they leave it to the sports writers to keep the fans guessing. 6 goals in 8 games .. am guess at least one forward.

  • agree, now looks like we desperately need a skillful n hopefully speedy winger to boost our poor scoring record, also reckon a sizeable forward who can hold up the ball well n place some second passing will do us gd. btw, y not get a decent centre half for backup

  • I’d say a central midfielder to replace Murphy. Someone who has real quality.

We also need another centre back, and a young striker with loads of energy who can come of the bench and steal a goal

  • not sure if any such winger s available in market, but i reckon Zigic s a towering forward who s tall strong n score goals, but somehow bit out of favour in his current team (Valencia?) so y not bring him in just in case AJ or BZ dont play well, btw, we only hav 3 quality strikers in AJ, BZ, n Nevland i hope all of them will stay fit all season
