Fulham Interested In Signing Italian Defender

|

Although the trip to Old Trafford, this afternoon, sees Fulham looking to add to their points tally, newspaper speculation infers that there could be something else on the agenda.

Although Slavisa Jokanovic was able to spend a fortune in the summer transfer window, now whether he spent it wisely or not is a debate for another day, we understand that Claudio Ranieri, tasked with ensuring Fulham Football Club retains their Premier League status, has been assured that there will be money available for him to spend.

To that effect, the news source, the Talksport, has picked up on something in the Italian media that infers that Fulham are interested in signing the Manchester United full-back, Matteo Darmian.

The 29-year-old, although having started the last two matches for Manchester United, hasn’t been a first team regular and is deemed as surplus to requirements.

But, although, sat here in the editorial chair, I’d welcome the addition of the Italian to our squad, it appears that it could be a hard task persuading the player to move to London, with our referenced source suggesting that he is far more likely to return to his native Italy with Inter Milan and Lazio said to be just two clubs interested in signing him.

But, you just never know!
