So far, it’s been a productive summer transfer window for Fulham Football Club.

Already the club has secured the services of Jean Michael Seri, Aleksandar Mitrovic, Andre Schurrle, Fabri and Maxime Le Marchand and it looks as if more are on the way.

Speculation continues to imply Alfie Mawson could be set for a move to Craven Cottage, adding to the central defensive ranks, whilst it is also being suggested, by Sky Sports, the club are looking to bring in somebody to rival Kevin McDonald for the defensive midfielder role.

The player referenced by our aforementioned source is the Wolfsburg midfielder Joshua Guilavogui.

Guilavogui, 27-years-of-age, has won, during his career, 7 caps for France but has been absent from the international scene for close to three years.

Our source doesn’t mention a fee but, with the transfer window closing at midnight a week next Thursday, time is fast running out.

Naturally the speculation has generated some interest on the social media network and the following two made us smile:

We’re not sure if that’s the case but, sat here in the editorial chair, it is great to see the owners showing some ambition and that first game of the new season can’t come quick enough.

As for Joshua Guilavogui, we’ll keep a watchful eye out for ay further developments and report back as deemed necessary.
