With Claudio Ranieri now at the managerial helm, the Craven Cottage support are hoping the experienced and likeable Italian can steer Fulham to Premier League safety.

However, it remains to be seen whether, after a touch under two weeks in charge Ranieri can make an instant impact, especially when it comes to fixing the crux of our problems, the leakiest defence in the Premier League.

It could be a tad too much to ask.

But, where would we be without life’s optimists, I’ve a feeling that although the defence might be culpable, going forward we could have the edge against Southampton.

Hopefully, there’ll be no reports of players, those lucky enough to do so, being troubled by injuries picked up whilst on international duty.

Here at Vital Fulham, with our new widget which we’re told automatically updates, we’re able to bring you the latest listing of those currently occupying the treatment room:

  • Stabilise the defence until January and then sign Cahill and Clyne from Liverpool and Drinkwater from Chelsea.
