Fulham`s pursuit of the Nottingham Forest defender Michael Mancienne looks set to continue.

In fact with the closure of the transfer window fast approaching, the suggestion is that Fulham are set to meet the valuation Nottingham Forest have put on the 27-year-old and are set to entice the former Chelsea youngster to Craven Cottage with a very healthy package.

The gossip column in The Sun on Sunday intimates that Kit Symons is looking at offering Mancienne a four-year deal said to be worth a mind-boggling £4.5 million.

Mancienne who has played for Queens Park Rangers as well as being at Stamford Bridge, could very well welcome a move back to the capital but with the transfer window set to close early next week, any deal will need to be finalised quite promptly.

We`ll keep you posted on any further developments.
