With all the furore surrounding the reaction of the Chelsea players to the match on Wednesday which saw them dumped out of the Champions League and reading the shocking comments some ‘fans’ have left on the internet, it got me thinking………In a wierd way I hope Fulham never get that big.
Hear me out! Now a bit of success would be great like winning the FA Cup but part of me thinks that supporting Fulham is a unique experience. We are still a small(ish) club by Premier League standards and it would be dreadful for what the club means to me and surely you fellow Whites if suddenly fans started coming to the Cottage or supporting the team just because we were winning the league or if we signed the worlds star player.
I rather enjoy being mediocre and cheering on the unsung heroes like John Pantsil, Dickson Etuhu and Aaron Hughes!
