Recognition for the work Bobby Zamora has been doing for Fulham continues to pour in.

If Zamora does have ambitions of representing England then he can take comfort from the words of two of his international colleagues, Zoltan Gera and Brede Hangeland, when it comes to assessing his credentials for the job.

First up is Zoltan Gera who has recently remarked,

“I think Mr Capello wants to find a player to make a good partnership with Rooney.”

“And I can imagine Bobby playing with Rooney because he is not just a good target player, he can score goals and he can run behind defenders.”

Followed by our Norwegian international defender, Brede Hangeland, who has commented;

“Bobby is brilliant and if I played against England I`d be worried if he was lining up against me. Everything he touches at the moment seems to turn to gold.”

Two more glowing references for a certain Fabio Capello to mull over!

  • it’s a fine line i think… capello wouldn’t know how good he was unless people were talking about him, but our own roy said he used to hate it when people would tell him who to pick on the national squad… so i think the players and managers need to lay off a bit… i think the fans have every right to praise the player, and to a degree the players as well, but the managers should maybe lay off a bit… but i’d love to see zamora in an england shirt…
