Having lost out on the battle for Frazier Campbell, of Manchester United, Hull City boss, Phil Brown, is looking to bolster confidence with another move for our very own Bobby Zamora.

The Sun is reporting that Brown has tabled a £4 million bid for the striker.

If so, it represents, we believe, a fair price for the player who we signed from West Ham United around this time last year.

Does everyone concur?

  • I would want £4.5million to make up for our outlay. I am begging that we dont get Crouch as Zamora is BETTER. Hopefully if Bobby goes it will be for Berg coming in.

  • I think £3M is enough, but fear we are paying nearer £4M. I hope the fee is linked to performances, appearances etc. after the last debarcle of a transfer with JB – 37 mins of football doesn’t not represent GVFM.

  • I dont think you can say Zamora is better than Crouch, his England caps and goals speak for themselves..then again I still dont want him at the Cottage, especially for 11 mill

  • I hope he goes. Dont want Crouch for reported price though. Pantsil has been worth a lot to us so we can write off about 500K for BZ.

  • When you consider that out of the 6 million we paid for Pantsil and Zamora together, and the fantastic job ‘the legend’ Pantsil did for us last season I would say Zamora going for 4 million would be decent business. But I don’t want Bobby to leave because he is a good link up player, he’s a bit of Heskey, he might not score much but the rest of the job he does helps the team.
