Over 25,000 again witnessed Fulham compete with a top side but again our end result was only a draw.

After the result, stood in front of the media, Mark Hughes spoke about a few matters.

First he acknowledged that the defences came out on top but he also had a few words of praise for Mark Schwarzer, a keeper who had to take his fair share of stick against Blackburn last weekend remarking,

“Both defences did well, but Mark was very good today. Everton are great from set pieces but we dealt with it. I have to take the positives and we`re still unbeaten.”

And as for Everton being bottom of the Premier League table, you only had to witness their display yesterday to realise it is not their true position, with Mark adding,

“They showed they are in a false position.”

“Everybody can see they are a very good side. They are at the wrong end of the table, but I don`t anticipate that for too long.”

And lastly, with Konchesky having moved to the spluttering red machine with Uncle Roy, Mark had a few brief words to say about his replacement, Salcido, commenting,

“He showed what great experience he has.”

A bit like the game really, not too many words being similar to not too many chances.

  • We didn’t have a recognised striker on until Eddie Johnson came on and he?s no Zamora or Dembele, Andy Johnson coming back can?t happen soon enough but he?s been out for a year and it will be unlikely that he will start banging them in straight away, I could see us struggle for a few weeks to find the net 🙁

  • at least your strikers have scored a goal this season, 6 games and not 1 of our recognised strikers have scored yet. We are not great from set pieces, we are horrible from set pieces now since our delivery is embarrassing

  • Hughes draws yet another game! Perhaps he’s after obliterating his record of 8 draws in a row at City. Not a bad manager, but never seems to have a plan B to change games – I reckon you might have to get used to a few more draws in the future.

  • so long as we dont lose the wins will come and we are not letting in goles a good foundation me thinks
