It seems a long while ago that Danny Murphy ruffled a few feathers with his out-spoken, but correct we believe, views on certain teams.
The consequent fall-out eventually resulted in the Stoke manager, Tony Pulis, implying that his side has been getting a bum deal when it comes to decisions not going well.
The subsequent outcome being that Pulis remarked that referees should be subject to a system whereby mistakes are punished.
Mark Hughes, on the eve of our visit to Stamford Bridge has also spoken about mistakes made by referees but offering a different view point, see what you think,
“Its human nature I think. Sometimes the consequences of giving a decision against a big side are too much for the referees to take.”
“There`s no way I`m questioning their integrity. These are split second decisions. But it can be frustrating.”
Has Mark, unintentionally we`d like to add, inadvertently given us a small chance of getting a big decision at Stamford Bridge tonight?
Only time will tell!
