Kick off is now under four hours away and expectation levels are rising.
Fulham venture into Chelsea territory convinced they can get a first win at Stamford Bridge for many a year. The fine run of form Fulham are in has generated a degree of optimism not felt for many a year, a fact picked up on by Aaron Hughes, who has remarked in the media,
“We`ve got a bit of confidence, are unbeaten in six games. We will go there to try and lay football, try to defend well and create chances as we have been doing.”
“Any team going to Stamford Bridge has a difficult task but we`ll attack within reason.”
“If you go there and try to defend for ninety minutes, you can`t do it. They`ll overrun you in the end.”
“But they`ve got a lot of threats in the side, a lot of ability to break you down.”
Unfortunately the quotes leave me a little puzzled as they descend down the scale from being confident to showing too much respect for a side that is struggling!
