It`s still an emotive subject, Europe or not!
In his post-match press conference, held after the 1-0 win over a gallant Stoke City, Roy was inevitably asked the $64,000 question and succinctly replied,
We are in the top seven but there`s no guarantee we`ll still be there in four days.”
“It was a good win after losing our two front players early through injury.”
“Europe would be a tribute to the work the players have put in but the competition is still very strong.”
I get this strange feeling that Roy would love to finish eighth, thereby ensuring our best ever finish, but just miss out on Europe, don`t you!
