We still have a good chance of qualifying for the next stages of the Europa League!

Tonight we entertain CSKA Sofia who have only collected one point from their four games so far, against us, and a victory would make it a straight shoot-out between us and Basel for the qualifying spot.

But, Roy Hodgson still has some gripes, and quite rightly so, about the two fixtures against the Italian giants managed by Claudio Ranieri, AS Roma, gripes that reflect on decisions that could have left us in an even healthier position in the group.

This is what Gentleman Roy had to say,

“The Europa League has been a good experience.”

“But I have been disappointed in the last two games against AS Roma, where some of the glamour has been taken off.”

“In both the Roma home game and away game I thought we were harshly treated by some very important refereeing decisions.”

“They had a vast bearing on the outcome. We`ve still two matches left and if we win those, we can qualify. So that`s what we`re looking to do.”

“We certainly haven`t given up hope of qualifying and we will be giving it our best shot.”

I must admit that despite my initial fears, I`ve really enjoyed our European adventure and would love it to continue.
