It`s become noticeable in recent weeks that Erik Nevland seems to be occupying a role whereby he`s named as a substitute but inevitably comes on with approximately a quarter of an hour to go.

The Norwegian, who hasn`t quite made a first team place his since arriving at Craven Cottage, has always proven to be a willing runner and here, at Vital Fulham, we`ve never doubted his enthusiasm.

In fact, the Norwegian has also received some plaudits from Roy Hodgson with Roy quoting,

“He`s a nasty player to play against because he competes. Even though the guy against him looks bigger and stronger, he`ll be there trying to get his head to the ball.”

If he`s that nasty Roy, set him loose on Leon!

  • Let him play Roy if you think he is so good. Would be nice to see how Johnson and Nevland would play against Blackburn. Give Zamora a rest and the put the Viking on.

  • Nevland is a quality player, but i personally wouldn’t mess with the AJ-Bobby partnership in big premiership games. But i do agree with you Wimbledon White, Nevland should get more games. But for now, little and large works well enough.

  • He’s a great bench player. He’ll fill in for either AJ or Bobby as he has good pace about him and a really good strong, physical nature. I think he’s great just pushing AJ and Bobby as it will just force them to strive for better performances

  • Zamo’s style of play Lesson 1: i will hold the ball up for 20 seconds and then get tackeld by a defender because i was to stupid to see that a midfielder was in a great possision! Argh he annoys me. Woy should start Nevland and Dempsey just to put the frightners on AJ and BZ because they look a little complacent at times and i don’t like it!

  • Zamora creates chances, if he could score 5 goals this season that would be nice but hes a solid signing
