One news source suggests that Roy Hodgson could be about to do the dirty on his old club.

After, reportedly, suggesting that he`d not raid Craven Cottage when he was appointed the manager of Liverpool, he took Paul Konchesky to Anfield.

Now one source suggests that Roy is lining up another raid on his former club this January and will try his hardest to try and lure Clint Dempsey to Anfield.

Let`s hope this solitary source has its wires crossed shall we!

  • Dempsey is carrying the team in the absence of Zamora, so I can’t imagine this would happen without guaranteed funds for a quality replacement or two. From Dempsey’s point of view, couldn’t blame him for wanting to go. From Roy’s point of view, Dempsey is more reliable and versatile than Ngog, so again, can’t blame him.

  • this will be a VERY interesting one… could there be backroom pressure to bring in a successful american now that there are american owners in the boardroom? seems like the perfect play, as roy’s comfortable with him from his time at fulham… there’s no way timmy howard would cross the mersey and don a red shirt… what other americans are there to acquire? they should try for donnovan who made some rumbles about coming back to everton on loan…
