Fulham – Hodgson on the Title Race

I bet I`m not alone this morning in complaining of a sore head.

After all I think we all deserved a drink after the events of yesterday, it`s not every season you humble Manchester United, in fact that was the first time in forty-five years.

I`d go so far as to say I doubt whether there could have been a sweeter victory to hit that mythical forty point mark and apparent safety!

How far we can go, up the table, remains to be seen, is a place in the Europa League a viable proposition?

After the game Roy Hodgson crowed about the performance (who can blame him) but had a few words of comfort for Manchester United when he remarked,

“We were excellent today and we will do our best to make sure our performances against Liverpool and Chelsea are as good.”

“United have such a good team with so many good players, that they are still favourites to retain the title. But this – and the defeat against Liverpool – last week – has certainly changed things.”

It has but my money is still on United for the title, especially when we turn Liverpool over in a fortnight`s time!
