Naturally after the glorious win over Manchester United, at Craven Cottage, in our previous Premier League match, Roy Hodgson was hoping we`d keep the momentum going, but it was not to be.

Therefore, it was, we sense, a slightly disappointed Roy Hodgson who addressed the media in his post match press conference during which he remarked,

‘In the first half Liverpool played very well and created some chances, and had they scored in that period I wouldn’t have been surprised.”

‘In the second half we actually did much better, and created chances for ourselves and contained them better, so I’m really disappointed to concede a goal in the 92nd minute.”

‘It’s a bitter blow after such a battling performance from our team.”

‘It’s very difficult to say too much about it because the disappointment of the goal is still too fresh in my memory.’

Do what I did Roy, pop down the pub and then things don`t seem so bad mate!

  • It was disappointing; to hold them for so long and to fall at the last hurdle! That’s football I suppose!

  • it’d be hard to argue that liverpool didn’t deserve the win, but to have it come in the way it did was gutting. i know exactly how roy felt.

  • I agree….we played well to keep them out for so long though…but we were sorta lucky too!
