After being outplayed but thankfully not humiliated by the reigning champions of England, Europe and the World Roy Hodgson took his customary place in front of the cameras for his post match interview.

Roy used the opportunity to; quite rightly, berate the fixture schedule, a schedule that sees our resources stretched, depleted and left a little bedraggled.

Here are the finer points of what Roy had to say,

“It bothers me why we have to play on Sunday and again the following Tuesday.’

‘Our chances of getting through against Swansea have been severely hampered. That turnaround has given our opponents a big advantage.”

‘I cannot say I am particularly delighted about the situation at all.”

‘We will have to concentrate on West Brom and then do our best against Swansea. But I wouldn’t be putting too much money on the result.’

Are we beginning to regret still being in the FA Cup, I hope not Roy!

  • Easy Solution Roy give more chances to the other players in the team like u did against MAN U maybe if u did tat earlyer den we wont av dis problem of players being fatigue.

  • This would not be an issue if we were playing West Brom at the original time of Saturday at 3.00 pm. It is entirely the fault of sky.

  • well said Fulham_21….i dont even have sky so it is absolutely no use to me!!….its a bit defeatist of roy to predict the swansea result isn’t it….as carbz said….our youngsters are looking good, milsom and brown played well yesterday so why not give em another go….COYW!!

  • West Brom is the more important fixture. I’d love to see us progress in the Cup as much as anybody would, but the reality is that even if we beat Swansea, we’ll just run into the same brick wall we ran into yesterday. I say use the normal starters for West Brom; youngsters and substitutes for Swansea.

  • if we’d have beaten Swansea down in taff land we’d be better off! We’re too defensive minded on our travels!
